Preschool grades through the middle school use Lifeway's Bible Teaching series.
Two's and Three's
This class is geared toward boys and girls who are between the ages of two and three. Karolyn spends time singing and teaching a lesson that is appropriate for this age group. The rest of the hour is spent working on projects that help reinforce the lessons. Don’t be surprised if you child won’t want to leave.
Four's and Five's
This class is predominately preschool age through Kindergarten, boys and girls. Millie starts the hour with music and then an age appropriate story is taught complete with flannel graph. Wendy then takes over doing the book work that is geared to help the children not only learn, but remember the lessons they are taught. Both ladies are loved by their students and always have a ready hug and smile.
First Grade
This class is for boys and girls who are attending first grade. Judy spends her class time helping the children to read for themselves the lessons from the Bible. She is full of patience and tries to encourage each child to love reading God’s word. This helps them to understand these lessons are not just a group of stories, but actual history from God's Holy Word. Time is also spent on book work with papers that are sent home to help the children remember what they have learned.
Second Grade
This class is for boys and girls who are attending the second grade. Sue is a teacher by trade and spends her class time helping the children learn and use the concepts that are taught in the lessons. During the book work time, she re-enforces the Bible truths that have been presented. Sue loves children and often has her children stop to give her a hug, which she loves.
Third and Fourth Grade
This class is a combination boys and girls who are attending third and fourth grade. Becky was a missionary to China and brings great insight to her class. Through her teaching, she helps the children see the world’s view of the Bible and how it impacts their lives everyday. You will often hear laughter in her classroom and excitement from the children as they share about the lesson they learned that day.
Fifth Grade
This class is for boys and girls attending the fifth grade. April grew up in our church and taught as a young adult. She spends her class time helping the children apply the truths they are being taught through application and experience. April challenges her students to explore God’s word and bring their questions to class each week or share situations where they applied God’s teachings to their daily life. She plans a fun outing at the end of each year to celebrate their “graduation” to Junior High and commemorate their year in her class.
Middle School
This class is for boys and girls who attend grades six through eight. Russ gears his class to the needs and desires of this age group. Time is spent helping the children to understand what God expects of them as they grow. The class has great dynamics and discussions about relevant topics effecting today’s middle schoolers. Having two grown children of his own, Russ brings insight as a parent to an often challenging time for children this age. As they discover themselves, Russ helps them discover who God is and what He expects of His children.
The Senior High and Homebuilders classes are not using a specific curriculum at this time.
Senior High (TRUTH)
This class is for teens who are attending Senior High School, grades nine through twelve and also, at this time, encompasses early College years. Larry takes great care to teach the teens and young adults what they need to know to help them grow into productive, fruit-filled Christians who are not afraid to live by and share their faith. Larry plans many fun-filled, Christ centered activities throughout the year. The teens genuinely love Larry and he provides a safe, non-judgmental place for teens to learn about Christ. We often tease Larry about being a big kid himself. His energy is endless and his passion for teens is evident in everything he does.
College & Career
This class is for young adults who are experiencing transitional phases of life; whether it be pursuing a college degree, career endeavors, or beginning their own families. Individuals are equipped with making the Word of God relevant in their lives. MJ challenges each member to live a life that reflects the love of Christ to others. They also meet every Tuesday night at 6pm.
